Description
The MN DNR Firearms Instructors will be hosting a firearms safety class in Chisholm. Successful completion of this class will allow students to receive their firearms safety certificates.
The class will be in two parts:
1.) April 24, 2025: classroom training from 4-7pm at the Chisholm Public Safety Building; includes a written test and dry fire simulation.
2.) April 26, 2025: full day of “in the field” training, Sportsmens Club, Hannon Rd.
An online training through MN DNR is a required prerequisite for the class. All students must complete the online training at www.dnr.state.mn.us (education / safety link) prior to the classroom training. Once completed they will receive a DNR voucher which they MUST bring to class on April 24th.
Students must be 11 years old at the time of class.
The class is limited to the first 20 students. Preference will be given to Chisholm students until March 1, 2025. At that time, it will open to students state-wide.
